BANDUNG - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) encourages movement to individuals, families and communities to be ready to face disasters. This step began in 2017 with the implementation of Disaster Preparedness Day which falls on April 26th. HKB is not a ceremony but a concrete effort to change behavior to build self, family and community preparedness. The Head of BNPB Doni Monardo said that the HKB put forward real actions such as checking the existence and functioning of facilities and infrastructure, such as the presence of safe signs and evacuation routes and gathering points, the availability of fire extinguishers, the management of multi-storey buildings, and so on.
